Kiambu County has started the year with a major boost to healthcare delivery after announcing that health facilities across the county have reached a 99 per cent stock level of essential medical supplies.
The Department of Health Services said the milestone reflects a firm policy direction under Governor Kimani Wamatangi’s administration, which has institutionalised bi-monthly restocking of all health facilities to prevent shortages and service disruptions.
While flagging off the distribution, Health CECM Dr Elias Maina said the supplies will be delivered to all facilities countywide. He was accompanied by Chief Officer for Health Dr Patrick Nyaga and Health Administrative Officer David Maina.
In addition, the county government has begun equipping newly completed health facilities to make them fully operational, reinforcing its commitment to accessible, reliable and dignified healthcare for all Kiambu residents.
