Kiambu County has launched the second phase of its Community Health Promoters (CHPs) empowerment programme, shifting focus from stipends to entrepreneurship and economic strengthening.
Under the leadership of Kimani Wamatangi, Kiambu was among the first counties to pay stipends to CHPs. The county has now moved to equip them with business skills and seed capital to help improve their livelihoods beyond healthcare service delivery.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Council of Governors, Amref Health Africa in Kenya, Mastercard Foundation and KCB Bank Kenya.
County officials say the ongoing vetting exercise has revealed innovative and viable business proposals from CHPs seeking to diversify their income streams. The programme seeks to ensure that health promoters — who form the backbone of preventive and promotive healthcare at the grassroots — are financially empowered while continuing to serve their communities.
The county government says the move demonstrates a practical approach to empowerment by combining healthcare service delivery with economic opportunity.

You really make it appear really easy together with your presentation but I to find this topic to be really one thing that I believe I might never understand. It kind of feels too complex and very extensive for me. I am looking ahead to your subsequent put up, I will try to get the cling of it!
