National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa has called on Kiambu residents to rally behind the Kenya Kwanza government, emphasizing the importance of unity and support for continued development. Speaking in Kiambu County, Ichung’wa highlighted the administration’s efforts to fulfill its campaign promises and uplift the region through various economic empowerment initiatives.
Ichung’wa underscored the pivotal role Kiambu played in bringing the Kenya Kwanza government to power, urging residents to remain steadfast in their support. He pointed to ongoing projects, such as the construction of modern markets and infrastructure improvements, as evidence of the government’s commitment to transforming the lives of ordinary citizens. The leader also stressed the need for patience, noting that meaningful change takes time and collective effort.
During his address, Ichung’wa acknowledged the challenges facing the nation, including the high cost of living and economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. He assured residents that the government is working tirelessly to address these issues, implementing measures to stabilize the economy and create opportunities for small-scale traders, boda boda operators, and women’s groups.
The event, attended by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and other leaders, served as a platform to showcase the administration’s achievements and outline future plans. Leaders present said their commitment to the bottom-up economic model, which aims to empower communities and promote sustainable development.
