In a significant move towards empowering the youth of Kiambu County with essential tech skills, Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa’s office has partnered with the Power Learn Project (PLP) to launch a 4-month scholarship program.
This initiative stems from a productive discussion between the Senator and PLP directors, highlighting the need to equip young people with sustainable tech skills to secure decent jobs and livelihoods.
The scholarship program aims to onboard youth participants into a comprehensive training program that certifies them as skillful, tech-savvy individuals connected to a pool of tech talent.
With the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies such as robotics, big data, and IoT, Senator Thang’wa emphasized the pressing need to proactively prepare all youths for success in the digital era.
This involves recognizing the transformative impact of AI on various industries and understanding the evolving skill sets required to thrive in the modern workforce.
