Huduma Kenya has called on Kenyans to pick up thousands of processed documents lying uncollected across the country. The appeal comes as the agency intensifies efforts to reduce a growing backlog that has delayed access to key identification and certification services.
As of November 2025, over 93,000 national IDs, 31,000 smart driving licences, and 124,000 birth certificates have been processed and are ready for collection at the 59 Huduma Centres across all counties. Citizens are urged to visit the nearest centre, confirm availability, and collect their documents to ease congestion and improve service delivery.
The agency operates multiple service channels, including Huduma Mashinani outreach programs, the 1919 Tele-Counselling Centre, and electronic platforms via www.hudumakenya.go.ke
and USSD *191#. Additionally, select centres now offer first-time ID applications, bringing vital services closer to communities and reducing long travel distances to registration offices.
Huduma Kenya emphasizes timely pick-up of documents to ensure all eligible Kenyans have access to essential identification efficiently.
