Bishop Allan Kiuna to be Laid to Rest in Thindigua Amidst Dignitaries and Tributes

The late Bishop Allan Kiuna, revered leader of Jubilee Christian Church, will be laid to rest on Wednesday in Thindigwa, Kiambu County, following a solemn send-off ceremony expected to draw several dignitaries, including Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Kiuna, 57, passed away on July 9 at a Nairobi hospital after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, a type of cancer he had publicly acknowledged facing since 2018-19. Despite undergoing a bone marrow transplant and periods of remission, Kiuna’s health took a downturn earlier this year.

A memorial service held on Monday at Faith Evangelistic Ministry Family Church in Karen was marked by heartfelt tributes, particularly from his spouse, Reverend Kathy Kiuna. She fondly remembered him as an epitome of strength who faced his illness with unwavering hope.

“He was saying, ‘I want to go home’ in front of us. He said ‘I want to go home’ and I told him he was already home. Because we were in the house, he said he wanted to go home,” Kathy shared during the service, recounting his premonition of his passing.

In a poignant tribute, she expressed her deep connection with her late husband, saying, “I have known him more than I have been alone; I’ve been with him more than I have been alone. I don’t know how to do life without this man.”

The funeral proceedings are set to take place at JCC Paradise, Thindigua, where Bishop Kiuna served for many years, touching countless lives through his ministry and leadership. His impact extended beyond his congregation, influencing the broader community with his teachings and outreach efforts.

As preparations continue for his final journey, tributes pour in from across the country, celebrating Bishop Kiuna’s legacy of faith, compassion, and dedication to serving others.

The burial ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday, will be a solemn occasion marked by both sorrow for the loss of a beloved spiritual leader and celebration of a life lived in service to others.
