Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has warned bandits terrorizing northern grazing areas, particularly in Meru County, that their days are numbered.
Speaking in Ahtwana ward during an empowerment programme, DP Kindiki announced a major security operation to flush out cattle rustlers and criminals disturbing peace in the region.
He revealed that additional specialized security officers and police reservists have been deployed, promising that the government will employ the same force and tactics used in Kerio Valley and Lamu to restore law and order.
Kindiki reassured residents that ongoing development projects, including road tarmacking and modern markets, will continue, while relief food is being delivered to areas affected by prolonged drought. He urged the Mt. Kenya community to remain engaged with the government to benefit fully from nationwide development initiatives.
