The Ministry of Education has opened a second review window for learners dissatisfied with their Grade 10 senior school placement.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba said the review period will run from January 6 to January 9, following the conclusion of the first review whose results were released on December 29.
Ogamba revealed that more than 355,000 learners applied for placement review during the first phase, with 211,636 applications approved. The remaining requests were declined mainly due to limited school capacity or unavailable subject combinations.
The ministry said 88 per cent of learners have now been placed in line with their choices. Successful applicants can access joining instructions online, with reporting set for January 12 as over 1.1 million learners prepare to join senior school.
