Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Kiambu Branch has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots football development following a consultative meeting with FKF President Hussein Mohammed and officials from all 47 county branches.
The meeting, held at a Nairobi hotel, was initially scheduled to mark the launch of the Kenya United Cup, also known as the Presidents Cup, a national tournament aimed at nurturing local talent and promoting unity through sport. The launch was, however, postponed.
Led by chairman Danson Ng’ang’a, the Kiambu delegation expressed optimism that the tournament will be rolled out soon, providing a crucial platform for young players to showcase their abilities.
During the discussions, branches agreed to prioritise youth football, women’s football and infrastructure development. FKF Kiambu Branch pledged to intensify efforts to grow and strengthen football across the county.
