Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has launched a sharp attack on President William Ruto, accusing him of protecting alleged drug barons within government and shielding individuals linked to the Minnesota fraud scheme.
Speaking during a church service at AIPCA Kiratina in Kiambu County, the former Deputy President questioned the government’s commitment to fighting narcotics, arguing that the President’s allies contradict his public stance on drugs.
Gachagua further alleged that individuals he claims are linked to the Minnesota scandal continue to benefit from government contracts, including those affecting rice farmers in Mwea.
He also criticised the Kenya Kwanza administration over delayed school capitation funds, school placement concerns, and what he termed fabricated opinion polls. Gachagua dismissed comparisons between Kenya and Singapore, urging the President to first fix domestic economic challenges before invoking foreign development models.
