Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba slams political hypocrisy, questions failed reforms and unfulfilled promises in passionate public statement

Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has once again spoken out strongly against what she termed as political hypocrisy and government inaction on key national issues affecting Kenyans.

In a candid statement shared on her official page, the outspoken legislator revisited past instances where she claims she was targeted for challenging policies she found unfair or misleading.

Wamuchomba said she had raised the alarm on critical matters such as the One Man, One Shilling, One Vote debate, coffee farmers’ debt waivers, the Linda Mama healthcare programme, and the affordable housing initiative, only to face backlash and political isolation.

She accused some leaders of prioritising political alliances over real solutions, arguing that Kenyans were tired of “political noise without tangible action.”

“I don’t speak for any party. I speak for moral integrity,” she said, maintaining that her calls for fairness and accountability remain consistent despite opposition from within Parliament.

The MP also demanded answers over delayed school capitation funds, the low tea bonuses, stalled roads, and the unresolved murders of women dumped at Kware.

“Wale wako na masikio wanisikie,” she concluded a phrase she often uses to emphasise her message to both leaders and citizens.
