K Unity Bank members roll out empowerment drive to improve livelihoods, urge gov’t support for cooperatives

With an asset base of KSh7.8B, the Sacco continues to expand services as members laud community impact

Members of K Unity Bank have initiated a robust empowerment program aimed at uplifting their livelihoods and strengthening economic resilience among its membership.

During a recent event held in Suswa, Narok County, members commended the Sacco for its growing portfolio of services, credit facilities, and community outreach initiatives.

“We are satisfied with the way K Unity has continued to support our financial needs. The empowerment projects are changing lives,” said one of the members.

The members urged the national government, through the Ministry of Cooperatives, to consider providing additional support to well-structured cooperatives such as K Unity.

The bank, which began as a community-based financial institution, has since grown into a leading Sacco in the country, currently boasting an asset base of KSh7.8 billion.

Transactions, according to the management, continue to rise steadily, reflecting growing confidence among both members and investors.
