In a statement shared on Tuesday morning, Kenya Power flagged the notice as fake, warning Kenyans to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters exploiting the public’s desperation for jobs.
“Fake! Beware of fraudsters!” the company posted on its verified social media pages, reiterating that all genuine job openings are only announced through its official website and verified social media accounts.
The fake notice, which appeared professional and bore the Kenya Power logo, falsely claimed that over 100 vacancies were available in multiple departments. It follows a similar fake advertisement that circulated just days earlier.
