Authorities have charged Kenyan software developer Rose Njeri with cybercrime, accusing her of disrupting the Parliament Finance Committee’s email system. Police arrested Njeri last Friday and detained her at Pangani Police Station. Shortly after, protesters gathered outside Milimani Law Courts, demanding her immediate arraignment. Among them, members of Amnesty Kenya condemned the detention.
