Community Health Promoters (CHPs) from Kiambaa Sub-county have completed an intensive Maternal and Newborn Care training aimed at improving health outcomes for mothers and infants at the community level.
The program, conducted through a partnership between the County Government of Kiambu and AIC Kijabe Hospital, equipped CHPs with essential skills in safe pregnancy care, delivery preparedness, emergency referrals, and postnatal follow-ups.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony, Kiambu County Director of Public Health and Sanitation Teresiah Njoroge lauded the graduates for their dedication, describing them as the critical link between communities and health facilities.
