Kiambaa Masomo Kwa Wote Program Launched, Benefiting Over 6000 Students.

In a groundbreaking move aimed at easing the financial burden on parents, Kiambaa Constituency Member of Parliament, Njuguna KaWanjiku, has officially launched the Kiambaa Masomo Kwa Wote program. The initiative promises substantial relief to parents with children enrolled in Public Day Secondary Schools across the constituency.

Parents of children attending Public Day Secondary Schools in Kiambaa Constituency will now pay a mere Ksh 2,000 per term as school fees. The remaining fees will be fully covered by the Kiambaa NG-CDF (National Government Constituency Development Fund). “All the students in our public secondary schools in Kiambaa are included in the program. Even those joining Form One this year will benefit,” emphasized MP KaWanjiku.

The program also includes a comprehensive School Feeding Program for all students in Public Day Secondary Schools. The feeding initiative will operate six days a week, from Monday to Saturday, featuring a varied menu of Githeri for three days, rice for the other three days, and a daily provision of porridge.

The program is strategically designed to ensure that the Kiambaa NG-CDF covers 75–80% of the school feeding fees, promoting both financial ease for parents and consistent nutritional support for students throughout the week.

MP  KaWanjiku expressed gratitude to the leaders who attended the launch, including Hon. Ndindi Nyoro (MP, Kiharu), Hon. Karungo Wa Thang’wa (Senator, Kiambu County), and Hon. Anne Wamuratha (MP, Kiambu County). Special mention was made to the MCAs, led by Hon. Boxer (Karuri Ward).

The Kiambaa Masomo Kwa Wote program marks a significant step towards ensuring equitable access to quality education in the constituency, showcasing the commitment of leaders and stakeholders to uplift educational standards for all.
