Kiambu Municipality has officially launched the HGM Ting’ang’a Model ECDE Centre and Ting’ang’a Model ECDE, marking a key step in strengthening early childhood education across the municipality.
The event was presided over by Kiambu Municipal Manager John, area MCA Lawrence Mwaura, Sub-County ECDE officials, ECDE board members, school administrators and church representatives from the Ting’ang’a community.
The newly completed ECDE block is aimed at providing young learners with a safe, modern and supportive learning environment, reinforcing the county’s commitment to quality and accessible early education.
Under the leadership of Governor Kimani Wamatangi, early childhood development has been prioritised as a critical foundation for long-term social and economic transformation.
Kiambu Municipality has already completed several model ECDE centres, including ACK Kiu River, Kamiti Anmer, Machiri and Ting’ang’a institutions.
County officials noted that despite political pressure, development projects within the education sector continue to progress steadily, with a focus on service delivery and improved learning outcomes for children.
