The Kiambu County Assembly has approved the appointment of Gibson David Mburu as the male representative to the County Assembly Service Board (CAKSB). The decision was made during a sitting chaired by Speaker Charles M. Thiong’o.
The motion, moved by the Board’s Vice Chairperson Hon. Eric Warugu Ndung’u, received strong support from the House. Hon. Warugu praised Mr. Mburu’s integrity, competence and professional discipline, urging members to endorse a candidate he described as fully aligned with the Board’s expectations.
Mr. Mburu holds a First Class degree in Public Policy and Administration from Kenyatta University, alongside qualifications in business administration and printing. His career spans key leadership roles in both government and the corporate sector, including serving as Chief of Staff in the county government, Constituency Manager under the Parliamentary Service Commission and various management roles in private firms.
MCAs who contributed to the debate affirmed confidence in his ability to enhance the Assembly’s service delivery. Hon. Hezron Gachui highlighted his diligence from their previous working relationship, while Hon. George Njoroge and Hon. Paul Macharia noted that his administrative and human resource experience positions him well to support an efficient and responsive Assembly.
Members expressed optimism that Mr. Mburu will bring renewed professionalism and vision to the Assembly’s service board as they continue with their legislative duties.
