Kiambu Town MP Hon. Machua Waithaka has announced the construction of a modern Junior Secondary School (JSS) science laboratory at Riabai Primary School, a project aimed at enhancing practical science education and preparing learners for a technology-driven future.
The new lab, which will be fully equipped with modern facilities, is part of a broader plan by the legislator to uplift the school’s infrastructure and learning standards.
Hon. Waithaka revealed that the next phase will include tiled classrooms, new roofs, a modern gate, a perimeter wall for enhanced security, cabro-paved compounds, and new ablution blocks.
Speaking during the project inspection, he reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that every school within Kiambu Town Constituency benefits from modern infrastructure and a conducive learning environment.
“Our goal is to empower our children with skills and facilities that match the demands of the modern world,” said Hon. Waithaka.
The initiative forms part of the MP’s wider education development agenda, which has seen several schools in the constituency receive classroom upgrades, improved sanitation facilities, and new learning resources all geared towards strengthening foundational education and science-based learning.
