Kiambu Town MP Machua Waithaka has issued a progress update on the ongoing facelift at Ndumberi Primary School, signalling a major transformation ahead of the January reopening.
The school has undergone a series of upgrades in recent months, including the construction of additional classrooms, installation of tiles in all learning spaces, and the completion of a fully equipped Junior Secondary School laboratory. A new perimeter wall and modern gate have also been put in place to improve security and create a more organized environment.
Waithaka said the final touches are currently underway, with workers installing cabros across the compound to improve accessibility and drainage. Landscaping and flower planting are set to follow, completing what he described as a full environmental makeover.
The MP noted that the improvements are part of a wider plan to uplift public learning facilities across Kiambu Town, ensuring students learn in clean, safe, and modern settings.
“When our children report back in January, they will find a school that feels like an academy dignified and learner-friendly,” he said, reaffirming his commitment with his signature phrase: Yangu ni Kazi Tu.
