Police are investigating the cold-blooded murder of a man shot dead by unknown gunmen on motorcycles in the Kist area of Kiambu Township on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred along Kist-Degro Road. Witnesses reported seeing the victim, believed to be around 27 years old, riding his motorcycle when he was trailed by two other motorcyclists.
The assailants opened fire, fatally wounding the man with a gunshot to the chest.
Upon arrival, police found the victim’s body beside his motorcycle. Two spent 9mm cartridges and a live bullet were recovered approximately 100 meters from the scene.
The body was taken to the City Mortuary for identification and autopsy.
Police have described the killing as an execution but have yet to establish a motive. Detectives are pursuing various leads and have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in the investigation.
