President Ruto urges Kenyans to back newly elected leaders as nation pursues development and unity

President William Ruto has called on Kenyans to support newly elected leaders, saying the country must move forward with a shared sense of responsibility and optimism.

Speaking during a service at AIC Milimani on Sunday, the President congratulated all winners of the recent by-elections, noting that the outcomes reflect the confidence voters have placed in them across political lines.

Ruto urged the public to remain prayerful and patient as the country works through what he termed difficult but solvable national challenges. He said Kenya’s long-term ambition of becoming a first-world economy will rely on committed leadership, unity and continued investment in infrastructure.

The President cited progress made over the past three years, saying the government has steadied the economy and improved key sectors such as health and education. He highlighted the commissioning of a 175-kilometre road project, describing it as a major development milestone that will open up economic opportunities for nearly half of the country.

Ruto maintained that no leader is elected by chance, urging Kenyans to give them space and support to deliver on their mandates.
