“I was informed that you’re having a party for those who might not be able to provide for themselves during these difficult times,” Uhuru said. “I couldn’t abandon our people. Whatever you’re doing, I’ll top it up. I’ve sent Sh1 million so you can buy more unga for the people. Happy holidays to you all and your families, and may God solve the problems we’re going through.”
