Ruiru Member of Parliament Simon Ng’ang’a King’ara has announced the ongoing construction of a new ICT Hub at Mutuya Primary School in Mwihoko Ward, marking another milestone in his push to expand digital access in the constituency.
The facility, which becomes the third ICT centre after the Ruiru ICT Hub and the Ruiru Technical ICT Hub, is expected to serve hundreds of young people seeking digital training and online opportunities.
King’ara said the project is part of his broader plan to empower youth through technology, equip them with digital skills, and prepare them for Kenya’s fast-changing digital economy.
“These centres are transforming lives by giving our young people the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in today’s world,” the MP said.
The legislator has in recent months intensified efforts to promote innovation and technology-driven learning in Ruiru, positioning the constituency as a growing hub for digital talent in Kiambu County.
