Ruto Defiant Amid Criticism: “I Won’t Be Distracted from Transforming Kenya”

President William Ruto has firmly addressed his critics, stating that their incitements will not deter him from fulfilling his promises to Kenyans. Speaking during a church service in Elgeyo Marakwet, he made it clear that attempts to undermine his leadership would not shake his resolve.

Ruto emphasized the importance of focusing on the nation’s priorities, such as education, infrastructure, and economic growth. He reassured Kenyans that his administration is committed to improving their lives through initiatives that create opportunities and drive development. His message was straightforward saying he is determined to transform Kenya and will not be distracted by negativity.

The President also spoke about resilience and unity, urging Kenyans to come together and support the government’s efforts to build a brighter future. He highlighted the role of faith and moral values in guiding the country’s progress. The church service allowed him to connect with the community and reaffirm his dedication to serving the people.

Critics have accused Ruto of not delivering on some promises, even calling him a liar. However, he dismissed these claims as unfounded and gave assurance of his commitment to keeping his word. He encouraged Kenyans to focus on the bigger picture and trust in his vision for the country.

Ruto’s remarks come at a time when Kenya is facing challenges like economic pressures and social issues. In a lighter moment, Ruto addressed the chants of “Ruto must go” by saying, “Sasa nyinyi mnaniambia Ruto must go, mimi nimeskia hiyo mara mingi. Kulikuwa na ‘Moi must go’ na mengine…hii ‘must go’ ni wimbo tu ya kawaida, there is no problem. Shida iko wapi?”
