The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced more than 500 job vacancies across its departments, offering permanent and pensionable positions for qualified Kenyans.
Established under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023, SHA’s mandate is to provide financial risk protection for Kenyan residents while facilitating equitable access to quality healthcare. In a statement, the authority invited qualified candidates to apply for positions before October 2, 2025.
Entry-level vacancies include three Senior Driver positions and one Senior Office Assistant role, all requiring a minimum KCSE Grade D. Senior Drivers must have nine years of experience, a valid BCE driving licence, first aid certification, and a defensive driving certificate. Senior Office Assistants need nine years’ experience in administrative duties and proficiency in computer applications.
The largest number of openings are in county and Huduma Centre operations, including 47 Principal Registration and Compliance/Claims Management Officers, 183 Senior Registration and Compliance/Claims Management Officers, 99 Senior Registration and Compliance Officers, and 96 Senior Claims Management Officers.
Other positions are available in finance, human resources, administration, legal, ICT, customer experience, planning, supply chain management, and internal audit, ranging from senior to principal officer levels.
Applicants must meet Chapter Six of the Constitution requirements, including clearance certificates from the DCI, KRA, HELB, EACC, and a Credit Reference Bureau. Applications must include a cover letter, CV, academic and professional certificates, and contacts for at least three referees.
