President William Ruto has appointed Sitati Olando as the new acting head of the Government Delivery Unit (GDU), with immediate effect.
The appointment was communicated via a letter signed by Principal Administrative Secretary in the Executive Office of the President, Arthur Osiya, on behalf of Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei. Olando will report directly to Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Delivery and Government Efficiency, Eliud Owalo.
Olando previously served as Director of Delivery at the GDU. His new appointment led to the immediate revocation of Lee Kyonze, who had been serving in an acting capacity.
Ruto’s office confirmed that recruitment for a substantive Head of the GDU has already begun in consultation with the Public Service Commission.
