The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has announced 8,972 job opportunities for Kenyans abroad, offering placements in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Serbia.

Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua, in a statement on Wednesday, September 17, confirmed that the opportunities cut across multiple sectors and are open to both skilled and semi-skilled workers.

“The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, in collaboration with accredited recruitment agencies, is pleased to announce 8,972 overseas job vacancies across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Serbia,” the CS stated.

The vacancies include construction workers, drivers, electricians, welders, plumbers, hotel staff, nurses, caregivers, beauticians, factory workers, and security personnel. Professional positions are also available in Oman, ranging from HR managers and IT technicians to engineers, teachers, accountants, and auditors.

Interested applicants must be aged between 21 and 45, possess a valid passport or proof of application, be medically fit, and have relevant skills or experience. Employers will provide accommodation, transport, and medical cover, alongside competitive salaries.

Recruitment will run from September 19 to September 23, 2025, in four western region counties. Vihiga’s exercise will be held at Kaimosi Friends National Polytechnic on September 19, Kakamega’s at Sigalagala National Polytechnic on September 20, Busia’s at Bumbe TTI on September 22, and Bungoma’s at Bungoma National Polytechnic on September 23.

Applicants are required to carry their national ID, passport or proof of passport application, passport photos, and academic or work-related documents.
