Enock Andanje, a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirant for the Malava Constituency seat and former principal of Bungoma High School, has died.
Andanje reportedly collapsed on Friday morning while attending a widows’ empowerment forum presided over by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
His death was confirmed by the Prime Cabinet Secretary, who paused the event to break the news.
“While we were seated here, I received news that one of us, Enock Andanje, has died,” Mudavadi told the gathering.
The announcement was met with shock and disbelief among attendees, many of whom later took to social media to mourn the veteran educator and politician.
