Juja police have detained a 20-year-old Ugandan woman, Cynthia Nakato, accused of fatally stabbing her 23-year-old boyfriend, Peter Macharia, in Mastore, Juja, Kiambu County, on Monday, January 20, 2024.
Nakato, a barmaid, allegedly inflicted at least seven stab wounds on Macharia, leading to his death.
According to a police report, Macharia suffered multiple deep cuts on his right arm.
Following the incident, his body was transported to Thika General Kago Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
Juja police boss Jackson Sang confirmed the attack, stating that Nakato stabbed Macharia more than seven times.
He urged young couples to seek peaceful methods to resolve disputes, emphasizing the tragic consequences of violence. Nakato remains in custody at Juja Police Station as investigations continue.
