Igegania Level 4 Hospital in Gatundu North is on the path to improved patient care and expanded services with the recent acquisition of essential medical equipment. This significant upgrade is part of Kiambu county-wide initiative to elevate the facility to a Level 5 hospital.

The new equipment includes 10 oxygen concentrators, 3 infant incubators, vital diagnostic tools, patient monitoring systems, and additional hospital beds. This infusion of resources will allow the hospital to handle more complex medical cases, reduce patient referrals, and ultimately provide better care for the community.

The official handover ceremony included key figures such as CECM Health Services Dr. Elias Maina, Area MCA Joseph Mwangi, and the Medical Superintendent of Igegania Level 4 Hospital, Dr. Wekesa.

Dr. Maina emphasized the equipment’s role in improving efficiency and patient outcomes, while MCA Mwangi highlighted the positive impact on the local community. Dr. Wekesa expressed gratitude for the support and the hospital’s commitment to delivering higher-quality healthcare.

This substantial upgrade marks a significant step forward for Igegania Level 4 Hospital. With its sights set on becoming a Level 5 facility, the hospital is well on its way to serving the growing needs of the Gatundu North community.
