Limuru MP Hon. John Kiragu Chege has reaffirmed his commitment to improving road infrastructure after inspecting the ongoing tarmacking of the Kiawanda–Rwacumari–Kandumo and Rwacumari–Rwamburi–Ndiuni–Ngubi road networks in Ndeiya Ward.
The long-awaited projects, which residents have dreamed of since independence, are finally taking shape promising to transform accessibility and spur economic growth in the area.
Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Kiragu said the road upgrades will not only ease transport but also boost local businesses and farming activities by opening up previously impassable routes.
“I am proud that these roads, which have been a vision for generations, are finally becoming a reality,” said Kiragu. “Our mission is to ensure every part of Limuru enjoys modern infrastructure and improved livelihoods.”
The MP also engaged with residents and youth participating in the road works, many of whom praised the project for providing much-needed employment opportunities.
Kiragu reiterated that his leadership remains focused on delivering development projects that directly improve lives, from infrastructure and education to youth empowerment and job creation.
“This is only the beginning. Ndeiya and the larger Limuru area deserve progress, and we will keep working hand in hand with the National Government to deliver more,” he affirmed.
Residents described the project as a “game changer”, saying it will ease transport, reduce travel costs, and open up business opportunities once complete.
