Kiambu County’s delegation made a strong impression at the CASA (County Assembly Sports Association) Games 2025, held at Kinoru Stadium in Meru County. The event, which brought together Members of County Assemblies (MCAs) and assembly staff from all 47 counties, showcased a vibrant blend of sports, teamwork, and inter-county camaraderie.
Led by Speaker Charles M. Thiongo, Kiambu participated in over 15 sporting disciplines, underlining the county’s commitment to talent development, staff wellness, and teamwork. The opening ceremony highlighted the growing significance of the CASA Games as a platform for fostering unity, sharing legislative best practices, and strengthening the institutional capacity of county assemblies.
In his remarks, Speaker Thiongo lauded the dedication of MCAs and staff, emphasizing that gatherings like CASA Games reinforce accountability, purpose-driven service, and collaboration across counties. “These games are not only about competition; they nurture relationships, morale, and a shared vision for responsive governance,” he said.
