CS Moses Kuria Commits to Educate 3 Grandkids of ‘Mama Mboga’ Following Son’s Tragic Demise

Public Service and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has pledged to support the education of three grandchildren belonging to Kiambu’s well-known ‘Mama Mboga’, Pauline Njoroge, following the tragic passing of her only son, Alex Mbugua Waithira.

During a somber ceremony in Githunguri on Wednesday, CS Kuria expressed his commitment to providing educational opportunities and empowerment to the children left behind by Waithira’s son. Speaking at the burial service, Kuria highlighted Pauline Njoroge’s significant role in rallying support for the Kenya Kwanza party during the 2022 elections.

“Mrs. Pauline Njoroge, popularly known as ‘Mama Mboga’, was an instrumental face in our campaign during the 2022 election. Today, as she bids farewell to her only son, Alex Mbugua Waithira, I stand with her, her family, relatives, and friends in Githunguri, Kiambu County,” stated CS Kuria. “I have committed to educating and empowering the three sons he has left behind.”

The announcement was met with gratitude from the community and political leaders present at the ceremony. Among those in attendance were Kiambu County Woman Representative Hon. Anne Wamuratha, local Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba, and the area MCA.

CS Kuria’s gesture comes at a time when Pauline Njoroge has been facing challenges, including financial strains due to hospital bills incurred during her son’s illness. The elderly woman expressed her hardships, revealing that she had been struggling to support her grandchildren on her own.

Earlier reports indicated that Pauline Njoroge was unable to lay her son to rest as the family grappled with unsettled hospital bills. Kuria’s commitment to supporting the education of Waithira’s grandchildren provides a ray of hope for the grieving family during this difficult time.
