A family in GG locality, Thindigua, Kiambu Sub-County, is grappling with fear and uncertainty following the disappearance of 24-year-old Perpetual Wairimu and her six-year-old daughter, Miriam.
According to her grandmother, Josephine Wairimu, Perpetual left home in September claiming she had secured employment in Runda. Despite family concerns about her qualifications, she insisted on leaving and never returned.
She was reportedly spotted by villagers at a burial in Gathanga Cemetery and later disguised herself in October to collect her daughter from a nearby river. Since then, both mother and child have not been seen.
The family has visited multiple police stations, including Kiambu, Karuri, and Runda, providing photographs, but with no leads. “The search has left us sleepless,” Josephine said, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Authorities have yet to issue a statement, and the case remains under investigation.
