Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary Pauline Njoroge has formally entered the Nairobi governor’s race, declaring her intention to challenge incumbent Governor Johnson Sakaja in the 2027 General Election.
Speaking on Wednesday, Njoroge said she had begun countywide grassroots engagements aimed at listening to residents and understanding their priorities before unveiling her full campaign agenda. She met opinion leaders, women, men and youth representatives from Kasarani and Roysambu constituencies as part of her initial outreach.
Njoroge said her bid would be anchored on people-centred leadership, arguing that many leaders lose touch with wananchi once elected. She pledged to prioritise service delivery, improved infrastructure, clean water access, organised public transport, healthcare and public spaces.
The Jubilee official said her manifesto would be shaped by public feedback gathered during tours across all Nairobi constituencies under the #PaulineNjorogeMtaani initiative.
She joins a growing list of aspirants seeking to unseat Sakaja, including MPs Babu Owino and James Gakuya, Makadara MP George Aladwa, former PS Irungu Nyakera and businesswoman Agnes Kagure.
