Kiambu Woman Rep Anne Muratha launches sanitary towels, water tanks for schools

Kiambu Woman Representative Anne Muratha on Monday flagged off the distribution of sanitary towels to girls in junior secondary schools across all 12 constituencies of Kiambu County.

The launch took place at Kiambu Town Comprehensive School and was witnessed by Deputy Director of Education, Stephen Kimani. Constituencies covered include Kiambu Town, Kiambaa, Ruiru, Juja, Thika Town, Gatundu South, Gatundu North, Githunguri, Lari, Limuru, Kabete, and Kikuyu.

In the same exercise, water tanks were delivered to Chief Wandie, Thindigua, and Benson Njau Comprehensive Schools to improve hygiene and learning conditions.

Muratha described the initiative as practical, results-driven leadership, aimed at protecting girls’ dignity while investing in safe and supportive school environments for all students.
