Hon. Machua Waithaka, MP for Kiambu Town, has announced significant ongoing improvements at #HGM Ting’ang’a Primary School, part of a broader initiative to enhance the learning environment and safety for students.
The projects currently underway include the installation of cabro works across the school compound and a comprehensive classroom renovation program. Each classroom will receive new tiled flooring, giving students a modern, conducive space for learning. In addition, a perimeter wall and a modern gate have been constructed to improve security, while a solar power system has been installed to benefit both the primary and secondary sections of the school.
Speaking on the upgrades, MP Waithaka emphasized that the renovations reflect his continued commitment to providing a safe, secure, and supportive environment for learners. “Our children deserve schools that inspire learning and safeguard their wellbeing,” he said. “These improvements are just the beginning; we are also preparing to give the entire school a fresh coat of paint, which will start soon.”
The MP also highlighted plans for further development at Ting’ang’a Model School. Work on the model school is set to begin in April, after the current school term ends. Waithaka noted that while he is spearheading these initiatives, the focus remains on delivering tangible results for students and teachers alike. “Yangu ni kazi tu,” he stated, underscoring his hands-on approach to constituency development projects.
Parents and community members have welcomed the upgrades, noting that improved facilities, security, and access to solar-powered electricity will enhance the overall learning experience and provide a better environment for teachers to deliver quality education.
The projects at Ting’ang’a Primary are part of a wider effort by Hon. Waithaka to ensure schools in Kiambu Town meet modern standards of safety, sustainability, and student support, reflecting a broader national focus on improving the quality of education across Kenya.
As the renovations continue, the community looks forward to seeing the completed upgrades, confident that the investments will have a lasting impact on the lives of learners.
