Efforts to improve learning conditions for pupils in Kiambu Town Constituency have gained momentum following the ongoing reconstruction of classrooms at Ting’ang’a Model Primary School.
Area Member of Parliament Machua Waithaka confirmed that the project is part of a broader plan to upgrade education infrastructure across the constituency, with a focus on creating a more conducive environment for learners. The reconstruction works aim to replace aging and inadequate classroom structures, which have long posed challenges to both students and teachers.
According to the MP, the initiative is anchored on the need to ensure that every child has access to a safe, comfortable, and modern learning space. He noted that improving school infrastructure remains a key priority in enhancing academic performance and supporting the overall well-being of learners.
The project at Ting’ang’a Model Primary comes at a time when many public schools continue to grapple with congestion and limited facilities, especially in rapidly growing areas. By investing in new and improved classrooms, the constituency leadership hopes to ease pressure on existing spaces and provide a better atmosphere for teaching and learning.
Residents and parents in the area have welcomed the move, expressing optimism that the upgraded facilities will significantly improve the quality of education offered at the institution. Teachers are also expected to benefit from the improved environment, enabling them to deliver lessons more effectively.
Waithaka reiterated his commitment to delivering tangible development projects, emphasizing that education remains a cornerstone of progress within the constituency. He added that such investments are not only about infrastructure but also about empowering the next generation with the right tools to succeed.
The reconstruction works at Ting’ang’a Model Primary are part of ongoing efforts by leaders in Kiambu County to prioritize education and address long-standing gaps in school facilities. Once completed, the new classrooms are expected to transform the learning experience for hundreds of pupils.
As the project continues, stakeholders remain hopeful that similar initiatives will be extended to other schools within the constituency, ensuring that no learner is left behind in the push for quality education.
