Construction works at the Kanjeru Stadium in Kabete Sub-County are progressing steadily, with Kiambu County reaffirming its commitment to delivering a modern sports facility for local athletes.
According to the County Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, key milestones have already been achieved, including the full installation of the main pavilion canopy and completion of concrete filling for the third and fourth seating levels. Red soil backfilling is also underway to ensure a leveled and durable playing surface.
Once complete, Kanjeru Stadium is expected to serve as a premier hub for sports competitions, talent nurturing, and community events in Kabete and beyond.
The county has emphasized that the project represents its dedication to empowering youth through sports, improving facilities, and promoting physical well-being.
