The Council of Governors (CoG) has renewed its commitment to strengthening coordination with development partners after holding a consultative meeting at its Nairobi offices. The session, convened through the Resource Mobilization and Partnership Committee, reviewed progress made this year in improving joint planning, resource mobilization and county-level support systems.
During the meeting, CoG and partner organisations reaffirmed their commitment to predictable, transparent and well-coordinated development cooperation across all 47 counties. Stakeholders identified key priorities to guide their work going forward, including more frequent engagement on emerging issues, better coordination to prevent duplication, and joint design of sustainable county programs.
The partners also agreed to map development actors at county level, invest in stronger statistical and data systems, promote results-based financing and enhance domestic revenue mobilization to boost efficiency in public spending.
Additionally, CoG announced that knowledge tools and best practices will be consolidated and shared through the Maarifa Centre to support counties and partners with evidence-based learning.
The Council emphasized that robust, accountable and results-driven partnerships remain central to strengthening devolution and improving service delivery for Kenyans.
