The Kiambu County Assembly has invited members of the public and key stakeholders to submit their views on seven proposed Bills, marking an active period of public participation at the Assembly.
The call follows a public notice issued by the Clerk of the County Assembly, Mr. John M. Mutie, through advertisements placed in local dailies and other media platforms. Residents are encouraged to take part by reviewing the Bills and submitting their memoranda before the deadline.
According to the notice, written submissions should be sent to info@kiambuassembly.go.ke by 5.00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Members of the public will also have an opportunity to make oral presentations during scheduled public participation sessions.
The Bills under consideration include the Kiambu County Vocational Education and Training Institutions Bill, the Agroecology Development Bill, the Agriculture Sector Co-ordination Committee Bill, the Provision of Sanitary Towels Bill, the Investment Corporation Bill, the Fire and Rescue Services Bill, and the Early Childhood Development and Education Bill.
While some of the Bills are sponsored by individual Members of the County Assembly, others originate from the County Executive, reflecting a blend of legislative and policy priorities. The Assembly is expected to be abuzz with activity as MCAs engage residents to ensure public views inform the final laws.
