As 2026 begins, Ngewa Ward in Kiambu County has prioritized strengthening grassroots healthcare through a Community Health Promoters (CHPs) meeting.
The forum was attended by Director of Public Health and Sanitation, Madam Teresiah Njoroge, who encouraged CHPs to embrace accountability, community engagement, and a people-centered approach to service delivery.
CHPs used the platform to review local health priorities, share field experiences, and coordinate strategies for preventive and promotive care. Discussions also focused on collaboration with health officials to ensure timely response to disease outbreaks, health education, and improved access to essential services.
