Kiambu County leaders have held talks with Roads Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir in a renewed push to accelerate road infrastructure development across the region.
The consultative forum brought together Members of Parliament from Kiambu and senior officials from key roads agencies to assess the status of ongoing and planned projects. Discussions centred on unblocking stalled works, aligning priorities and improving coordination to ensure faster implementation.
Leaders said improved road networks are critical to unlocking economic potential by easing the movement of people and goods, supporting agriculture and trade, and improving access to markets and essential social services.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to coordinated planning, sustainable financing and efficient delivery of road projects, noting that infrastructure development remains a key driver of inclusive growth, balanced development and long-term economic transformation in Kiambu County.
