Hon. Anne Muratha, Kiambu Woman Representative, has taken empowerment directly to her constituents in Ting’ang’a Ward through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF).
In a hands-on initiative, Muratha distributed essential tools to boost livelihoods and safety for residents. Youth entrepreneurs received car wash machines, beauty UV machines, hair dryers, and juicers, while boda boda operators were equipped with helmets, reflector jackets, and umbrellas. Market traders received umbrellas, the elderly were given blankets, and visually impaired residents received white canes to enhance independence.
“This is what inclusive leadership looks like,” Muratha said. “We are not just talking empowerment; we are delivering it to women, youth, PWDs, and the elderly.”
The programme, part of Muratha’s ongoing commitment to equitable development, also included tents, chairs, chafing dishes, and food for all present, highlighting a hands-on approach to community upliftment.
Muratha reaffirmed that no ward will be left behind as she continues to prioritize economic opportunities, safety, and dignity for all residents.
