A quiet night turned into a harrowing ordeal for a family residing in Ngecha, Limuru, Kiambu County, as a four-man gang executed a bizarre robbery, leaving a guard injured, three women raped, and the family traumatized.

The gang’s assault commenced on Saturday night, marking a terrifying intrusion into the privacy of a household. Their method of entry, disclosed by the police, involved navigating through the drainage of the cowshed, catching the guard off-guard before violently attacking him. The guard sustained serious injuries to his hand and back during the confrontation.

Once inside the residence, the armed gang, wielding knives and crude weapons, proceeded to instill fear, coercing the entire family to lie down under threat of harm or worse. The assailants then confined the victims to one room, where they subjected three women to a horrific act of rape.

As the night of terror unfolded, the gang ransacked the home, seizing valuables including a 32-inch television, water dispenser, cooker, gas cylinder, decoder camera, tablet, JBL radio and speaker, three mobile phones, and a substantial amount of Sh81,000 in cash.

In a bid to further evade authorities, the gang compelled one of the women present to drive them to the Muguga area in Kikuyu. There, they unloaded the stolen goods before instructing the victims to return in their car.

Local law enforcement swiftly responded to the distress call, initiating an intensive pursuit of the perpetrators. The victims, meanwhile, received medical attention at a nearby hospital following the traumatic incident.
