Detectives in Kiambu County have launched investigations into the puzzling death of a 24-year-old man found lifeless outside his apartment in Kirigiti.
The man, identified as Daniel Muthoga, was discovered on the verandah of his third-floor flat, with blood seeping from his mouth — raising suspicion that he may have suffered severe internal injuries.
According to witnesses, Muthoga arrived home in the early hours of September 15 with visible injuries, including head wounds and bruises on his knees and hands. Police suspect he may have been assaulted elsewhere before collapsing just outside his door.
Homicide detectives have revisited the crime scene and are retracing the victim’s last movements to establish what happened before his death. His body was later taken to the mortuary for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
Police say the motive behind the killing remains unclear, but investigations are ongoing.
