Kiambu County Women Representative Hon. Anne Muratha has continued her efforts to uplift local communities through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), with her latest empowerment drive taking place in Gitothua Ward, Ruiru Constituency.
The event saw women and youth groups receive essential business tools and equipment aimed at promoting self-employment and economic growth. Among the beneficiaries was Mwana Mwireri Welfare Group, which received a tent and 100 chairs to support community events and income-generating activities.
Other groups benefited from UV nail-curing machines, car wash machines, shaving kits, blow dryers, and trolleys for mobile vending.
Hon. Muratha emphasized that each tool represents a new opportunity for growth, dignity, and self-reliance, adding that her office remains committed to empowering every ward in Kiambu.
“Together, we are building a stronger, self-sufficient Kiambu one ward at a time,” she said.
