The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the recruitment of 9,159 teachers to fill positions left vacant through natural attrition across the country. The openings include 7,065 primary school posts, 12 junior school posts, and 2,082 secondary school posts.
Interested applicants must be Kenyan citizens, duly registered with TSC, and hold the minimum required qualifications P1 certificate for primary, and a diploma in education for junior and secondary schools. Successful recruits will serve on a permanent and pensionable basis, with postings nationwide.
Applications must be submitted online via tsc.go.ke or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke by December 8, 2025. Candidates are reminded that the recruitment exercise is free and that filling multiple applications will result in disqualification. TSC also warned applicants against fraudsters attempting to exploit them during the process. Shortlisted candidates will present original certificates during verification, and merit lists generated will guide future recruitments within the 2025/2026 financial year.
