Kiambu County Government has embarked on an ambitious project to construct 26 modern markets across the county, aimed at improving trading facilities and supporting local entrepreneurs.
In addition, the county, in collaboration with the national government, is developing another 30 markets in various trading centres. The initiative is expected to enhance business opportunities, provide hygienic and well-structured market spaces, and promote economic growth in the region.
County officials say the project is part of a wider plan to modernize infrastructure, stimulate local commerce, and improve access to essential services for traders and consumers alike. The markets are set to become hubs for trade and community development.
